Our Leadership

Sarah was born in Yorkshire and has worked in blue chip engineering and manufacturing organisations before transitioning to a career in Human Resources. Sarah is currently employed as Director of People Services at Bradford College, a large Further Education College offering a wide range of educational opportunities across a diverse student population in the heart of Bradford. She is also the Senior Post Holder responsible for Health and Safety and Safeguarding.

Sarah has proven experience of working with executive teams to drive business, organisational and cultural change and improve organisational capability, including employee engagement, particularly during significant change, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and high growth including through private equity and external investment.

She has previously chaired an industry trailblazer apprenticeship and volunteers with schools through Inspiring for the Future, promoting STEM subjects and supporting career aspiration activity in disadvantaged areas. She was the winner ‘Board Level and Senior Executive of the Year’ at the Women in Business Awards 2018. This award recognised her personal achievements made in business and in making a significant difference to the role of women in industry.

Sarah has an engineering degree from the University of Birmingham, a Doctorate in Engineering from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
